I honestly enjoyed Rachel’s response to my position paper. It was very informative and emotional. I liked the part about love being a beautiful deception, and that marriage needs more than love, which I completely agree. She says that love can be an addiction like alcohol. At the end of paragraph 3, she kind of compared homosexuals to drug addicts and mass murderers, maybe that could have been worded differently. This paper gives the feeling that gay marriage is wrong, but gays need to be treated equally. However there’s not very much middle ground, at least that’s what I found when writing my paper, and I seem to get the same feeling from Rachel’s paper. There were plenty of facts supporting her argument which gave her credibility. I agreed with a lot in her paper. Unfortunately a lot of gay people wouldn’t, I think they would shut out a lot of it because a few sentences in the paper were kind of harsh religiously without much reconciliation. Rachel’s paper can appeal to lots of people though, and I liked it.
