Hello! Welcome, and I hope you enjoy learning a little bit about me an my family. I was born in Honolulu, HI and have lived in a number of states, but consider myself a Texan. I've lived in Texas for the last 24 years...in Houston, Pasadena, La Porte, Clear Lake, Arlington and now Fort Worth. I've lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) area for the last 7 years with my husband, Bryan and of course, our "baby", Katie.
Bryan graduated from Texas Tech with a BS in Computer Science in 1996. I, finally, graduated with my BS in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) in 2000. Spent a few years in industry, and unlike Bryan who has found a wonderful position with L-3 Communications since he graduated (and still loves it!), I succumbed to the many layoffs within the telecommunications business. Having a little bit of extra time on my hands while looking for a new position, I thought about what I wanted to do...and guess where that lead me...teaching. So, I'm now back at UTA working on my certification for secondary mathematics as well as my master's in education for mathematics.
This site has been developed with an emphasis on my education classes. Each of the EDUC or READ classes you see links to on the left each require a web page...so here they are. Hope you enjoy!
