August 21st, 2005:
my, my, how the time does fly
well, manheads, since we last talked - miami dooky and dean have battled a hurricane and come out (a little filthy, but) victorious, mandrake and skylar have founded the newest and most filthy party hotspot ever to border a synagogue, a meditation center, and an antique shop (dubbed "the dupe"), and all members of the band (including the octogon - we will never forget) have gone under the knife in one way or another - be it surgery, haircut, or just plain old gang warfare.
in pop global conquest news, the factory's got the best shows yet coming up. here's all the shit:
---saturday august 27th - the axis w/deathray davies and record hop! - 9pm - 120 S. Main Street, Fort Worth, TX 76101 - 8bucks-worth it!

---friday october 28th - rubber gloves (see aboves) w/WHY? - 10pm - 7bucks - why?'s sandollars ep - pick it up, learn the words, come to the show!
keep your ears open for some manfac songs that don't usually sneak their way into the setlist at these shows - kelly rula, we're looking in your direction. you asked for it!!!!! and now you've got it.
July 15th, 2005:
i forgot! we're knee-deep in the writing process of the street fighter album, and we're also really jazzed about how it's turning out. at the moment there are like, 11 or 12 new songs in addition to the 2 we released all those months ago, so yes, the rumors are true - some characters will have more than one song, and some songs might not be specific to any character!
however, as far as album completion goes, we've got a bit left and it's kind of the most important part. so - it might still take awhile. but don't worry, your new song cravings can be satisfied by some other bullshit new songs just over the horizon! for now, i just recorded carl jones (again, i know) to celebrate my having received a ukelele as a gift! so this is for you, john elway!
carl jones - right click and save as - let's get INTIMATE!
July 14th, 2005:
hey dudes
it's been months! there's good news and bad news, so i'll start with the good bit.
man factory will be featured in the next issue of fort worth's sample press zine and our album review is in the most current edition! keep an eye out for a little man factory Q&A in the QuickDFW mag as well.
if a man factory show is your substitute for hard drugs (your 'anti-drug', if you will) or if it's your supplement, you can get your fix on a whole lot this next month, or else we'll fix you! we'll pants you at a crowded party and no, i'm not even joking around here.
---fri july 15th - the moon in fort worth - 5bucksallages
---fri july 29th - living color in arlington - FREEoutdoorfun/leg wrestling competition - featuring HAWK, who were at our last show at local color!
---sun july 31st - RIVERSTOCK at arlington's river legacy park - FREEfun also outdoor festival type thing. it's got indie spirit out the yinyang, so come check it out at least to crocodile mile!
---sat august 27th - montecarlos in arlington - not sure of the deets on this one
---fri september 2nd - rubber gloves in denton - with ten tin feet and the darlings and baby calendar - allages5$ should be fun
we had a lot of fun opening for fishboy's album release, and little d is a tastee lil' gem if you wanna know! and hey, if any'a you fishboys are reading this, mandrake thought it was a joke, but i was really distressed over losing my pants. i found them, though, so you can stop loooking!
now the bad: here's a news release from the our PR department concerning the octogon:
May 27th 2005 - For Immediate Release
As many have read recently, the octogon was scheduled to return to Man Factory soon. However, we must regretfully announce that Eric "the octogon" Chandler is officially out of the band. A "Series of creative differences led to his departure from Man Factory", said Skylar Mendez, the band's bass player and interim cowbeller for the studio. "The ankle thing was a cover up, but his demonds were not." We apologize to any of the octogon's fans, andwe're happy to report that once out of rehab his latest all-cowbell effort will go into rapid production. Look out for the octogon's e.p. "Last Man Belling" featuring "the game has changed" and "im trying my darndest" to hit stores this fall. We wish him the best of luck in his endeavors and hope to share the stage with him again a.s.a.p.
this is kind of old news at this point, but we needed some closure.
btw, our hearts may be in Ohio, but our blazing crotches are in Rhineland! LaZer the band

April 15th, 2005:
live from the dark continent
we're preparing for san marcos and wiring warnings to san marcos to prepare for us right now in the MF camp, and as toni packs four suitcases for the boys and a baggy with a toothbrush in it for mandrake, i've taken it upon myself to prove that we can survive "a day without a mexican" (a must-see) by posting our shows of the future all by myself. this is dean, btw.
---san marcos show tomorrow, april 16th - FREE
---april 17 - man factory on 88.7 KTCU the choice's THE GOOD SHOW. this is a big deal for us because we all love KTCU and we love Tom (the host) even more. the show starts at nine, our segment is from 10:30 to 11:00pm.
---april 20 - UTA's renegade magazine release party (very upscale, but still alternative. just how we like it.) on the UTA campus, starts at high noon - FREE
---april 21 - club clearview, opening for mermaid purse or something like that. costs 11$ for minors.
---april 22 - julia's house party - 6034 N. Jim Miller Rd., dallas, TX 75228 - you better believe it's FREE, but throw a couple'a'bucks julia's way if you have the heart.
---april 28 - UTA battle of the bands - in the bluebonnet ballroom of the UC. starts at 8pm. come on out and help us get back our 25dollar entry fee! FREE
btw, "a day without a mexican" is not a must-see, but we of the factory can't get enough arrested development season 1(paid advertisement)!
also, if you've been keeping up with the boards, you know that we got our hands on some live tracks from our concert in morocco, where miami was recently declared "king of morocco". he's always going to be king of "mo'RAWKo" in my book, but anyway - if you want to get your hands on some of those tracks like the blisteringly LIVE version of "ice cream", we'll post 'em. you gotta tell us though.
March 24th, 2005:
still another show update
---tomorrow! the 25th - elliot and cody's crib in Oak-clif, party - 1824 Mayflower, Oakcliff, TX 75208

---april 6 - dallas curtain club, another band battle. i don't see why we have to fight. 9$ for minors, 6$ for 21+
---april 16 - san marcos' initial exposure to what the factory's got. probably in the student union building or some shit. it's freee!
that's it for now. april is turning out to be such a dense month show-wise for us that we've taken to calling it the absolutely april texas titty twister tour! in other news - we met jakob dylan, skylar and mandrake finally kissed, and our kittens desperately need homes but we've gotten too attached to let 'em go!

January 20th, 2005 (the year of jive):
another month with still no response from grand royal has taken the boys from the factory down interesting new avenues of productivity, each hard at his respective work or play, and toni heavily involved in making tea for the boys.
chris has struck an exclusive deal with b. dalton booksellers, which, while still in the negotiation process, should put a few copies of his post-suicidic autobiography, "Dope on a Rope: the Memoirs of Skylar J. Mendez" on the shelves at b. dalton locations across the states. Chris asked that an official apology be posted for the fans in the UK, which is also still in the works, so check back for that. the official drop date for that tastee gem is set for February 12, 2005, so look alive!
as for miami, e.n., and the sev - they've found their own new avenue - an ocean avenue. after stealing kelly rula's yellowcard DVD those three have set out on a cross country journey to visit all the landmarks cited in that landmark album, and maybe have a little fun along the way as well. it's been one crazy adventure, and at this moment it looks like they won't have enough gas to get home! luckily, austin came up with a crackpot scheme to earn the boys not only enough cash to get home, but even enough to pay off miami's debt to the drug lords that have been on their tails the entire way! they're up against some mighty odds, so we'll see how that pans out. all that aside though, here are some pix from their trip -

and to wrap things up, here's a lil' video of the factory's first day back for the spring semester. [click it]
December 15th, 2004:
there you have it, folks. man factory's eight chanukah gifts, topped off with a preview of a projected album based on street fighter II: turbo and austin's five-part saga of a love gone pear-shaped dispite his undying care and loyalty.
witness these songs coming to life thru interpretive dance and clever backdrops at a complimentary man factory show of your choosing:
saturday, December 18th - J&J's pizza parlour basement in denton - 10pm
w/ ZipZipZapZap and The Sensitive Boosters
friday, December 31st - the white house in grand prairie - 10pm
December 10th, 2004:
man factory has hornswaggled local denton pizzeria J&J's Pizza into allowing the destructive new show by man factory into its basement. it's all gonna go down on saturday, december 18th, in the eveningtime, so long as miami can dodge the sexually explicit allegations that have been brought against him. we've all got our fingers crossed, but chris plans on taking matters into his own hands. check it out.
December 9th, 2004:
wendell and the boys send their sincerest wishes for a happy chanukah to all the
man factory fans around the world - the boys themselves have been in the studio
'round the clock this week putting together the bonus chanukah tracks and studying
chinese caligraphy. drop a line and let them know how you like them, because tetragrammaton
knows they've been anything but a motley crew since hearing about the
death of dimebag darrel.
in brighter news, my boy austin bought his sweetheart toni a new bike for an anniversary
or something - video
sorry so sloppy! - <3 kathy sevener (austin's mom!)
(acting webmaster while the boys make the hits)
October 9th, 2002:
austin's severed all ties with his former employer, marble slab creamery, so he
can dedicate his time and funds fully to his new nintendo entertainment system.
with his newfound sexual freedom, the sev is on what he calls a 'macking rampage'
during the time he doesn't spend with his console.
with the worldly and spiritual riches that what's wrong with marina has won him,
jonothan got his hands on a 1990 toyota corolla and wasted no time adding an asian
flair with flaming dragon seat covers and tricked out body kit.
*UPDATE: the kit has been removed.
tyler purchased wack-ass science experiment effects pedal at a garage sale for
ten dollars and discovered that it may be worth a thousand dollars, but before
he got a chance to discover the beastly power within it, a bridesmade on a kamikazi
mission plowed into his brand new truck on robinson road.
with t-dogg's truck out of commission, toni's "golden girl" is once
again being juggled between the whites. in other toni news, her academic schedule
is as rigorous as ever, but she's taken up smoking cigarettes to deal with the
constant stress.
on the subject of automobile updates, the last what's wrong with marina girlfriend
standing, mary agnew, may not be a pedestrian for long. sources say that she may
be purchasing an undislosed vehicle at some point in the next two weeks.
ian's been using his time trying to get "digits" from the girls in the
south grand prairie high school library, where he and austin are aides 5th period,
and playing "home improvement" and "bomberman" with his snes
emulator on his computer. a crew of mick, ian, austin, july, toni, nataly, and
jonothan teamed up at marina HQ to remove ian's hair, which had recently fallen
out of favor with the inner circle.
